MacKinney and Carr Swapped Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Philadelphia Tornadoes and Ft. Worth Blue Ox finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Philadelphia's 25-year-old CF Arnold MacKinney to Ft. Worth in a swap for 37-year-old RHP Jason Carr and 23-year-old minor league SS Brian White. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. This year MacKinney is hitting .188, produced 1 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 2 times and gotten on base at a .188 rate. Carr has earned no saves and a 0-0 mark this season with a 1.00 earned run average in 11 relief appearances. He has worked 9 innings, yielded 5 hits, struck out 9 batters and walked 1. |
